DropText PDF Terms & Licence

These terms govern your download, installation, access to, and use of DropText PDF.

1. Agreement and acceptance

These Software Licence Terms govern your download, installation, access to, and use of DropText PDF (the Software). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Licence grant

Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for your own internal business or personal use.

3. Nature of the Software

The Software is a desktop PDF processing and editing tool. Features may include viewing and rendering PDF documents, adding or editing overlays such as text, images, and boxes, saving project files, and exporting modified PDF files.

The Software may not work with all PDF documents, structures, fonts, images, annotations, or embedded content. You are responsible for checking all outputs before relying on them.

4. Microsoft Store purchase, pricing and availability

Where the Software is obtained through Microsoft Store, pricing, purchase, installation, updates, refund handling, and account or platform matters may be handled through Microsoft Store or Microsoft in accordance with their applicable terms and policies.

5. No support or maintenance obligation

The Software is provided without any ongoing support, maintenance, service levels, bug-fix commitment, upgrade commitment, or compatibility commitment. Any assistance, updates, or fixes may be provided at the licensor's sole discretion.

6. Future versions and upgrades

The licensor may release new versions, upgrades, updates, alternative products, or replacement products at any time. These may require a separate purchase and may not be compatible with the current version. Obtaining the Software does not entitle you to future versions or upgrades unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. User responsibilities

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

This includes, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, compatibility, or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the licensor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, data, files, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the Software.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the licensor's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Software is limited to the amount actually paid by you for the Software.

10. Termination

This licence terminates automatically if you breach these terms. On termination, you must cease using the Software and, if requested, uninstall and delete all copies in your possession or control.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where the law permits the licensor to limit a remedy, the licensor's liability is limited, at its option, to resupply, repair, replacement, or the cost of resupply of the Software.

12. Third-party software

The Software may include or rely on third-party software components that are licensed under separate open-source or third-party licence terms. Those components are not licensed to you under these terms. Applicable third-party notices and licence information are provided separately with the Software.

13. Changes to these terms

The licensor may update these terms for future versions or future downloads of the Software. The version of the terms made available with your version of the Software will apply to that version unless otherwise required by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, unless otherwise required by applicable law. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and courts competent to hear appeals from them.
